About the area
The Data area of Grupo BTG Pactual is expanding and plays a strategic role in the development of new business models for the bank and the Group's companies (BTG Pactual, Pan, Mosaico, ARC4, BeOps, among others). Our focus is to build a high-performance team, prepared to tackle complex and high-impact challenges.
This position is part of the Data Analytics team, responsible for supporting strategic and operational areas through modern Big Data and Analytics solutions, ensuring that data is organized, reliable, secure, and ready to generate business value.
About the vacancy
We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to work in the Data Platform team, contributing to the evolution of systems and web interfaces that support data usage in different areas of the bank.
This person will work on the development of APIs, internal services, and web applications for the platform, helping to build solutions for analytics, streaming, data science, and artificial intelligence, with strong use of cloud technologies, especially AWS.
In your day-to-day, you will:
- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve data platform systems that serve technology, business, and other teams;
- Develop and sustain APIs, libraries, internal services, and web applications for internal and external clients;
- Build web interfaces for interaction with platform services and products;
- Contribute to architectural decisions, scalability, reliability, observability, and performance;
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with automated tests, rollback strategies, and deployment flows;
- Work in partnership with engineering, data, and business teams to transform needs into robust and scalable solutions.
Minimum requirements
We expect from you:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields;
- Availability to work in a face-to-face or hybrid model (2 days per week) at the Faria Lima and Av. Paulista offices in São Paulo;
- Good communication, collaboration, and ability to work in a dynamic environment;
- Logical reasoning, analytical skills, and a growth mindset;
- Knowledge of languages such as TypeScript, Python, and SQL
- Experience with developing APIs using FastAPI, Django REST Framework, or similar technologies;
- Experience with React.js and TypeScript, applying modern front-end development best practices;
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (Cloudformation, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, EC2);
- Experience with system architecture and design, considering scalability, reliability, and maintainability;
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and IaC.
Differentiators
- Experience with micro front-ends and Webpack Module Federation;
- Practical knowledge of Material UI or other design system libraries;
- Knowledge of data architectures such as Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Data Mesh;
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience with Kafka and the data streaming ecosystem.
Work model: Hybrid (2 days in the office and 3 days of remote work).
