Systems Administrator
ACI is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced, Systems Administrator to serve as a part of the company’s Government Programs team by providing comprehensive IT service capability to support the U.S. Army Transportation Command's (ARTRANS) global C4ISR and distribution operations.

Location: Scott Air Force Base
Compensation: $75,000 - $130,000 / year

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Systems Administrator at ACI, you will maintain and support operating system environments and computer systems across multiple domains, administer Windows and Linux systems, support secure architectures, and collaborate with engineering teams to meet system and application requirements.
- Maintain and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems across multiple domains.
- Administer, install, and troubleshoot a variety of operating systems.
- Perform systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery, and file maintenance on both Windows and Linux systems.
- Schedule, install, and test system software upgrades.
- Configure software and resolve technical problems.
- Monitor and maintain software licensing and maintenance agreements.
- Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.
- Work with Software Engineers to ensure that the architecture will meet requirements of the proposed applications.
- Provide support for troubleshooting and administration.
- Ensure security compliance in deployed architectures.
- Conduct audits of customer current architecture solutions and recommend changes as needed to meet requirements.
- Provide expertise in high availability, contingency planning, and automated provisioning.
- Support and advise the customer on initiatives including assessment, migration, and modernization.
- Write and edit scripts to increase system efficiency using PowerShell or another scripting language.
- Work within a collaborative, geographically dispersed team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Due to the sensitive nature of this work, a US Government security clearance is required, and all applicants must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Related degree fields include Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science, Information Systems Technology, and Software Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or
- Master's degree in a directly related field and 5 years of relevant experience.
- Security+ certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Experience in virtualization and containerization (VMware).
- Scripting skills using PowerShell and Python.
- Fundamental networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and OSI network layers.
- Working experience installing and configuring Unix/Linux-based environments.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to convey IT technologies.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and contributing to technical documentation.
- Ability to travel to customer locations and support customer engagement locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Atlassian products, including Confluence and Jira.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies.
