AJAT GmbH supports companies in the areas of IT service, cloud, and cybersecurity. To support and further develop ERP environments, we are looking for an ERP specialist who combines professional process understanding with technical knowledge.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain ERP systems: You will support our customers in the operation and further development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision – including older NAV versions.
- Analyze and resolve issues: You will record support requests, reproduce errors, check potential causes, and document the resolution process in a comprehensible manner. In doing so, you will distinguish between user questions, permission issues, configuration errors, and technical faults.
- Understand business processes: You will support users with workflows such as order processing, purchasing, sales, inventory management, and invoicing. You will identify relationships between documents, inventory, and postings.
- Manage users and permissions: You will maintain user access, roles, and permissions according to agreed-upon approvals and assist with access issues.
- Check interfaces: You will analyze problems regarding data exchange with connected systems, such as warehouse management systems or Microsoft services, and coordinate further processing with the responsible contacts.
- Maintain Microsoft Cloud connections: You will provide support for user management, authentication, and the integration of ERP systems into Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Support changes: You will participate in updates, tests, process improvements, and migration projects, and coordinate requirements with customers, departments, and development partners.
- Share knowledge: You will create clear documentation and support users in utilizing their systems securely and efficiently.
What You Bring
- Solid practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision. Knowledge of older NAV versions, such as NAV 2016, is particularly important to us.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is explicitly desired, especially in maintenance, configuration, administration, or consulting.
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Cloud environment, especially Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID, with regard to user management, permissions, authentication, and application integration.
- A good understanding of operational ERP processes and the ability to classify business requirements technically.
- A structured, independent way of working and the willingness to follow up on problems until they are resolved.
- Team spirit, a sense of responsibility, and clear, friendly communication with customers and colleagues.
- German at least at the C1 level, both written and spoken. You are able to explain technical matters, conduct customer meetings, and create meaningful documentation.
- Willingness to work on-site in Cologne as well as occasional business travel to our customers.
Additional Skills We Appreciate
- Experience with upgrades or migrations from Dynamics NAV to Business Central.
- Knowledge of AL for Business Central or C/AL for older NAV environments.
- Experience with SQL Server and the analysis of local NAV/ERP environments.
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Power Automate, or Power BI.
- Experience with ERP interfaces, web services, and APIs.
