About the Opportunity
We are looking for an individual to work in SOAR Engineering, responsible for developing, integrating, sustaining, and evolving automations that increase the speed, consistency, and security of SOC operations.
This position will work with analysts, specialists, engineers, and clients to transform repetitive or error-prone activities into controlled, auditable, and resilient workflows, always considering authorization, segregation of duties, and operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze automation opportunities in SOC processes.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain SOAR playbooks and workflows.
- Automate enrichment, triage, notification, ticket creation, and update activities.
- Create automations for evidence collection, tool querying, and investigation support.
- Implement containment actions only within defined authorization and control flows.
- Integrate the SOAR platform with SIEM, EDR/XDR, ITSM, identity tools, cloud, threat intelligence, email, and other security controls.
- Develop and maintain connectors, scripts, APIs, webhooks, and authentication mechanisms.
- Implement error handling, controlled retries, timeouts, logs, and operational alerts.
- Define manual approval mechanisms for higher-risk actions.
- Create rollback, fallback, and manual procedures for automation failures.
- Monitor playbook availability, performance, queues, failures, and success rates.
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures.
- Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, dependencies, technical credentials, and change history.
- Apply secure development practices and secrets protection.
- Work with the SOC to measure reduced effort, time savings, quality, and adoption of automations.
- Support testing, validation, change management, and post-deployment stabilization.
- Contribute to the standardization and reuse of components across different clients, while preserving environment segregation.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- Experience with SOAR platform development or maintenance.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or equivalent language.
- Experience with APIs REST, JSON, OAuth, webhooks, and integrations.
- Knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, ITSM, and security tools.
- Understanding of SOC processes and incident response.
- Knowledge of error handling, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Experience with development, staging, and production environments.
- Knowledge of change management, segregation of duties, and audit trails.
- Ability to assess risks and impacts before automating containment actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automation architecture in a multi-client MSS/MDR environment.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing.
- Experience with containers, serverless functions, or infrastructure as code.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and integration services.
- Experience with secrets management and service identities.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted automations.
- Certifications in SOAR, cloud, development, or security.
- English for technical interaction in a global environment.
