About the opportunity
abra professional services is seeking a Senior System Infrastructure Specialist.
We are looking for a skilled Senior System Infrastructure Specialist to manage, maintain, and support complex IT infrastructures in a dynamic, enterprise-level technological environment.
Requirements
This role requires extensive hands-on experience with VMware, virtualization, Windows Servers, hybrid environments, PowerShell scripting, and infrastructure project management, along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Professional requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a System Administrator in a large enterprise organization, working in hybrid environments with hundreds of servers and thousands of workstations – mandatory.
- Extensive experience managing VMware environments, including Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI); experience with vSAN is preferred – mandatory.
- Proven experience leading technological infrastructure projects – mandatory.
- Strong knowledge and proven ability to independently develop complex PowerShell scripts – mandatory.
- Strong Tier 2/3 troubleshooting skills and ability to independently investigate technical issues using English documentation.

- Ability to independently lead technological projects and processes with a deep understanding of organizational needs.
- Creative thinking and ability to identify and implement innovative technological solutions.

- Willingness to work under pressure and maintain high availability beyond standard working hours when required.
A full-time hybrid position based in Modi'in, Israel, with 4 days a week from the office and 1 day remote. The position requires 9 working hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise IT infrastructure, including virtualization, servers, storage, backup systems, and cloud and data center environments.
- Maintain and operate Microsoft 365 infrastructure, including email services.
- Manage Windows Server environments and infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and SCCM.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement infrastructure requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams, help desk staff, and technicians.
- Manage infrastructure changes and production deployments according to organizational procedures.
- Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure maximum system availability and stability.
- Lead technological infrastructure projects independently and implement innovative solutions to improve system performance and operational efficiency.
- Experience managing VDI environments – advantage.
- Familiarity with Linux, automation tools, and scripting – advantage.
- Experience working with information security and networking solutions – advantage.
- Certifications such as VMware, MCSA, CCNA, Azure, or DevOps – advantage.
- Experience maintaining and operating enterprise storage and backup systems – advantage.
