Job Description
- AWS & Infrastructure as Code: Maintain and further develop the global AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Kubernetes & Containers: Take responsibility for core K8s platform components, ingress, networking (VPC), scaling strategies, and secrets management.
- Observability & Reliability: Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Datadog, OpenSearch, and Fluentd.
- Developer Enablement: Provide technical consulting to internal application teams for the secure deployment of microservices via GitLab CI.
- On-call: Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 availability.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience: At least 7+ years (senior level) of specific experience in platform/SRE in cloud environments.
- Solid AWS & IaC Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud architectures, consistently managed using Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Kubernetes Expertise: Practical operational experience with production Docker & Kubernetes clusters at scale.
- Programming Skills: Ability to read and write Go code (basic to advanced level) – for example, for scripting, debugging, or developing platform tools.
Location: Hamburg (or current residence in Germany with the willingness to relocate to Hamburg)
