ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Staff Business Systems Engineer to design, build, and own the platforms that model and track our Data Center infrastructure. In this role, you will build the software, data models, and integrations that connect physical infrastructure (power, cooling, and compute) to the business systems that plan, deploy, and track it. The scope spans asset capacity planning, inbound hardware visibility, receiving, deployment readiness, and lifecycle tracking. You will design and maintain integrations between upstream Supply Chain systems and downstream Data Center platforms, ensuring an accurate, real-time representation of infrastructure assets. As our roadmap expands into data center topology and graph capabilities, this role bridges IT and OT environments, turning raw operational data into reliable, production-grade platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role: you will write code, design databases and data models, and own projects end to end while working cross-functionally to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that support rapid infrastructure growth. *

WONDERING IF YOU’RE A GOOD FIT?

We believe in investing in our people, and value candidates who can bring their own diversified experiences to our teams – even if you aren't a 100% skill or experience match. Here are a few qualities we’ve found compatible with our team. If some of this describes you, we’d love to talk. *

  1. You love building systems that bring clarity and structure to complex operational environments *
  1. You’re curious about how infrastructure scales and how systems can enable that growth *
  1. You’re an expert in designing integrations and data models that ensure accuracy and reliability across platforms

Come join us!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

DESCRIPTION OF THE TEAM

The Business Systems team at CoreWeave partners across Infrastructure, Data Center Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to build and scale the systems that power our global data center footprint. We own the architecture, integrations, and data models that enable accurate tracking and lifecycle management of infrastructure assets across high-growth, high-volume environments. We build our platforms rather than just configure them, giving the company a live, trustworthy model of every data center asset, from the power chain to the rack.

  1. Build and own the platforms and solution architecture supporting the Data Center asset lifecycle across DCIM, CMDB, EAM, and related infrastructure and OT platforms *
  1. Define and evolve asset lifecycle, ensuring accurate representation of infrastructure assets from planned capacity through deployment and retirement *
  1. Design and manage data models and databases to ensure accurate asset identity, hierarchy, power-chain relationships, and system-of-record alignment across platforms *
  1. Contribute to the data center topology and graph model, representing how power, cooling, network, and compute assets relate to one another, including failure domains *
  1. Collaborate with engineering, Supply Chain, and Data Center teams to build and maintain APIs and integrations, enabling automation that reduces manual reconciliation and improves asset data integrity, real-time visibility, and tracking of inventory, WIP (work-in-progress), and deployed assets *
  1. Build data ingest pipelines that collect, normalize, and persist operational and telemetry data from power, cooling, and compute systems, handling protocol translation and data model mapping between IT and OT systems *
  1. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Infrastructure, DC Ops, and Supply Chain) to translate business requirements into scalable system designs *
  1. Drive system standardization and consolidation to support high-volume assembly and deployment operations *
  1. Define and manage the Data Center Systems roadmap, prioritizing scalability, reliability, clarity and consistency of asset data *
  1. Ensure systems support auditability and compliance for traceability and access control, partnering with Security and Compliance teams *
  1. Act as the technical owner for cross-system issues impacting asset data integrity and lifecycle flow

Prérequis

WHO YOU ARE *

  1. Direct, hands-on experience working in Data Center environments (hyperscaler, cloud, or large-scale colocation), with a track record of building systems for them. Hyperscaler experience is a strong plus *
  1. 8 to 12+ years of experience in Data Center Systems Engineering, Platform or Software Engineering *
  1. Proven experience building software platforms and services, including writing production code in a modern programming language (e.g., Python or Go), designing databases and data models, and building APIs. Not control systems and PLC programming *
  1. Strong experience with operational platforms such as DCIM (e.g., Sunbird), CMDB (e.g., ServiceNow), or similar custom built systems, and with the OT data that feeds them *
  1. Experience designing and implementing systems that support the full asset lifecycle management in complex, high-scale Data Center environments *
  1. Experience building data ingest pipelines or integrations that move operational data between IT and OT systems (e.g., DCIM, BMS/EPMS, SCADA, monitoring platforms) *
  1. Strong understanding of asset hierarchy modeling and infrastructure topology mapping, including power chain, single-line (one-line) diagrams, and failure domains *
  1. Comfortable operating across ambiguous system problems, defining scalable architecture solutions, and possessing strong collaboration skills across DC operations, Supply Chain, and engineering teams *
  1. Experience building and maintaining integrations between inventory, logistics, and Data Center platforms (DCIM, CMDB, etc.) *
  1. Enable capabilities for asset capacity planning, inbound visibility, receiving readiness, deployment readiness, and lifecycle tracking *
  1. Experience supporting global or multi-site data center environments

PREFERRED *

  1. Experience working in high-growth or rapidly scaling infrastructure environments *
  1. Familiarity with industrial and data center protocols such as Modbus, MQTT, SNMP, Redfish, or BACnet *
  1. Experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, or infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) *
  1. Experience with graph data models, digital-twin representations, or time-series databases *
  1. Familiarity with asset capacity planning, WIP tracking, and inventory lifecycle systems *
  1. Experience driving system consolidation and standardization across multiple platforms *
  1. Exposure to financial systems or accounting workflows related to asset tracking
