KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

At Trafilea, retention is not just about sending emails. It's about creating
personalized customer experiences that drive engagement, increase lifetime
value, and fuel the growth of globally recognized D2C brands.
We're looking for a Growth Marketer, Retention to execute high-impact lifecycle
marketing initiatives across Email, SMS, Push Notifications, and WhatsApp. If
you enjoy combining creativity, data, experimentation, and automation to improve
customer experiences, this role is for you.
You exist to make our Retention Marketing engine run better every single day.
You will be the person closest to the campaigns, the flows, and the platform —
the one who knows exactly how every automated journey is built, why it's
structured that way, and how it could perform better. You're not here to simply
press buttons. You're here to own the operational quality of our lifecycle
marketing, propose improvements, and drive measurable impact from day one.
You'll join a remote-first team that moves fast, experiments constantly, and
operates at a scale few e-commerce companies can match

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Execute lifecycle marketing campaigns and automated customer journeys across Email, SMS, Push Notifications, and WhatsApp.
Build, launch, and optimize CRM campaigns/Broadcast directly inside Klaviyo. Ensure every campaign and flow is properly segmented, personalized, QA'd, scheduled, and compliant before it goes live. You are the last line of defense before anything reaches a customer.
Set up and maintain core automated journeys: cart abandonment, product/browse abandonment, post-purchase/post-delivery sequences, win-back programs, welcome series, reactivation flows, and cross-sell/upsell sequences. Understand not just the how, but the why behind each flow's architecture.
Audit existing flows and broadcast setups regularly — using AI tools and your own judgment — to identify inefficiencies, broken logic, outdated content, missing segments, or underperforming elements. Propose and implement improvements.
Run A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, content, send times, offers, segmentation, and flow logic. Track results, document learnings, and apply them to future campaigns
Build and refine audience segments using behavioral, transactional, and lifecycle data. Understand how segmentation directly affects deliverability, engagement, and revenue.
Set up dynamic content, conditional logic, and personalization rules within Klaviyo to increase relevance and conversion across campaigns and flows.
Analyze campaign and flow performance — not just open rates and clicks, but conversion, revenue per recipient, and how results connect to actual customer behavior and business outcomes.
Analyze campaign performance, identify actionable insights, and recommend optimizations based on data.
Collaborate with senior retention strategists, designers, copywriters, and data teams to ensure campaigns are strategically aligned and creatively strong.
Identify process improvements in how we build, test, launch, and report on campaigns. You're expected to make the operation better, not just maintain it.
Stay current on Klaviyo platform capabilities, new features, deliverability best practices, and industry trends in e-commerce lifecycle marketing.
1–3 years of experience in CRM, Lifecycle Marketing, Retention Marketing, or Email Marketing/SMS/Whatsap.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation — specifically building and managing campaigns and flows inside a platform, not just strategizing about them.
At least 1 year managing owned marketing channels such as Email, SMS, Push Notifications, or WhatsApp. Direct, practical experience with at least one major e-commerce marketing automation platform. Klaviyo or Braze experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Insider One or HubSpot is also valued.
Experience building and launching broadcast/campaign sends with proper segmentation, personalization, scheduling, and QA.
Proven ability to independently set up automated flows (cart abandonment, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, welcome series) — including trigger logic, branching, timing, filters, and conditional content.
Demonstrated understanding of A/B testing — not just running tests, but forming hypotheses, designing tests properly, and interpreting results.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate campaign data into optimization opportunities.
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments such as e-commerce, startups, marketplaces, consumer apps, or DTC brands. Experience working in a startup, small, or mid-size e-commerce brand is a Plus. We want someone who has made a real impact in growing the Retention efforts for a brand.
Strong communication skills and an ownership mentality.
English proficiency to collaborate in a global environment. Proficiency in Spanish is also a plus

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience with SMS marketing (opt-in strategy, compliance, campaign setup, triggered messages).
Familiarity with push notifications and/or WhatsApp as marketing channels.
Experience with HTML/CSS for email template customization.
Familiarity with customer data platforms, data feeds, or integrations that connect e-commerce platforms to marketing automation tools.
Exposure to incrementality concepts, holdout groups, or revenue attribution beyond last-click.
Experience with Shopify, Magento, or other e-commerce platforms and how they integrate with CRM/marketing automation.
